MICHELE ZANIN
ARTIZAN

Michele Zanin was born in Sydney in 1961, jeweller, sculptor and professional photographer, after studying art in Venice and a period of time teaching, he moved to Milan where he worked for few prestigious companies in the ne jewellery sector.
In 2002 he opened a specialist workshop called ArtiZan where he made jewellery featuring very simple forms, the result of his constant stylistic and technical research. He likes to call his jewellery “geometries to be worn”.
While working in his workshop he also specialized in two different branches of photography: 360° panoramic photography and jewel's macrophotography, doing photoshoots for art books, catalogs and websites.
In the last few years he went back to his original passion, teaching goldsmith's technique at the European Institute of Design in Milan.

MICHELE ZANIN
1976-80 goldsmith's apprenticeship in a silversmithing laboratory in Venice.
1979 graduates in Sculpture at the School of Art in Venice 1979 training course in photography and Master in "PhotographyTeaching" at the Fortuny Museum, Venice.
1983-89 teacher in wood carpentry and social operator for mentally disabled people.
2002-17 work for his own at ArtiZan workshop like jeweller
2014-16 teacher of goldsmith laboratory and technology at Jewellery Design department of IED - European Institute of Design.
